Studio Description
Smalldiaphragms is a tracking and mixing studio set in Lexington, Kentucky. The engineer behind the desk is owner and operator Chris Wheeler. As well as being a Media Arts student at the University of Kentuck and the Production Director at the university radio station WRFL, Chris has roughly 15 years experience learning and practicing tracking and mixing methods. The studio was born at the end of a string of bands that Chris had been performing and recording with from 2003 to 2011. Chris was rewarded the incredible experience of working with one of the industry's giants, Revolution Studio's Andy MacPherson. It was during the four years spent with this mentor that Chris ultimately found his calling in studio work. Chris has been providing professional services for the greater Lexington community and abroad since 2011. He also works with a small time Los Angeles production company Nebula Productions doing audio for video and short film soundtracks.
